The 6 Dof is still on going but the Oculus stabilizer is already fully working with the DK2. More info to come.
Hi Jerome! I too have a Rift DK2 (and DK1 also) and I'm just starting to work on building a motion simulator. I'm very happy to hear about your Rift stabilizer! Can you give me more info? Will you be selling it or just sharing a guide on how to build it?
Nice to hear you are a Oculus enthousiastic too We are still going to the details, I'm going to the Oculus conference in a couple of weeks to improve the game integration. We are planning on selling the hardware and sharing the Oculus library software.
I will keep you guys posted.
Keep an eye on the forum, we are trying to centralize here the informations needed to build your sim project.
Contact us if you need custom parts such as motor arms, sensors stands and pulleys.
We can help you with with standard parts as well such as VFD rods and links. Motors are heavier to ship but we can point you to the right ones to fit all the custom parts.

Thanks Jerome, as long as it isn't terribly expensive I will very happily buy it and support the project as much as I can!
Right now I'm really looking for info on what motors to buy and what other hardware I will need to get them working. I'm trying to keep the motors/electronics/power supplies at/under $1,000 USD if possible. I'm looking mostly at AC gear motors or possibly Teknic servo motors.
Like vicpopo said, more info, yes, yes .. I'm hungry too.
Jerome, "informations needed to build your sim project", will this include design params like platform dimensions with specific motors (power, RPM, torque) and performance (forces, limits) ? I Would be very interested in things like that. My initial plan was to make a computer simulation of the stewart platform with modelica (https://www.modelica.org/), but I thought it was complicated and lost interest in this idea. Maybe I'll give it another try, it's an open source mechanical/electrical/... simulation language and application (also commercial applications like wolfram system modeler). I am thinking of a platform with two seats and would like to have a well thought design with a calculated cost.
What are your thoughts on intergrated servo systems like clearpath (http://www.teknic.com/products/clearpath-brushless-dc-servo-motors/)?

Jerome, I expect to have a 3DOF motion sim running pretty soon and my intention is to use it with the Rift (which I have both versions of already). Can you give me any idea how long it will be before I can get the Rift stabilizer from you? Any idea on price?
dureiken: Hi there, it's really quiet here someone could help me for my 6 dof project ? thanks a lot

fimmy: How's the firmware going?
Sept 6, 2017 8:34:43 GMT
tronicgr: @fimmy I had to put it on hold to finalize the manufacturing of the new kickstarter controllers. I tested parts of it to ensure compliance with the new features and looks good so far. I'll get back to it soon for integration.

Theuns: Very nice design.I'm also busy with mine and changing it also to Linear Actuators with 220v Servo motors.I'm waiting for my new controllers from Thanos. If I may ask Do you have any Sketchup files of your design and willing to share it I Thanks Theuns

atayeu: Hey everyone! I'm reading up and gathering all of the intel I can find for my first motion platform. this is by far best information for creating one.

tmcnam: I must be crazy but I still can't find the blueprints to the platform by GA-Dawg. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Trip Rodriguez: Sorry tmcnam, the shoutbox doesn't get much attention. Did you find the blueprints? They are at the VERY bottom of the extremely long first post. It says "attachments: 6DOF.zip
