Hi Everyone, I just wanted to say that I've been following this forum for about a month now and have become completely inspired by "all" of the friendly, and incredibly talented people from around the globe that are members of this community. So inspired in fact that I have ordered a set of boards from Thanos and also started sourcing components with the incredibly kind help from Stevant. I have been wanting to build one probably for the last 15 years and I am so glad that you all were so generous and helpful to one another, that I feel completely confident now in building my own. So as such, I will be posting my progress here for anyone that may be interested in how things are progressing. Hopefully in my posts during the construction and from documenting all of my trial and error, my efforts may inspire someone else to be creative. I will be using my platform for iRacing, Prepar3D, and X-Plane as well as a development tool for the Oculus Rift. I'm an EE, developer, and mad scientist with a water cooled welding rig, scope, and space to add more circuit breakers to my panel! Thank you all, and especially Stevant and Thanos for their valuable time and kind support! Paul (flash) Las Vegas NV.

Hi flash, I am afraid we have to wait a while for this technology to be ready. My experience with DK2 was a little frustrating because of the poor resolution. (Having my eyes one inch from the panel, with magnification, I could notice not only the pixels, but three different colors inside the pixels.) I am sure in the future this will be the best car simulation experience, but until it becomes 4 or 6K I would forget about it.

Hi Hexpod, Well that's not to say I won't have 3 monitors on the platform as well. For the Oculus, I already own a couple pair and honestly I think it depends on the person using them. For me, while I would love to see 4K images and pixelated as it may be, the immersion is certainly there and iRacing has been a blast so far. I'm running GTX980's with a i7 5820 6 core CPU overclocked at 4.7Ghz, so having a total jutter free and fluid experience in iRacing and prepar3d somewhat makes up for the pixilated display. It's awesome to be able to look over your shoulder while you're racing and looking into the apex of every turn!

By a "break" do you mean a momentary judder? Is it while tracking or just happens randomly? In which sim, direct to HMD or extended? Is the glitch specific to a certain sim or all?
Maybe Thanos can make an area we can dedicate to this and other discussions of additions using other technologies to improve our sim experience.

When that happens it's caused by something in a wait state. Possibly loading data of the environment. What are your computer specs and does it happen in any other application?

Do you have iRacing installed on an SSD? I would highly recommended that to eliminate latency of loading environmental data while tracking.
If it's an Nvidia GPU try setting the control panel slider to performance rather than quality and set your frame rates to unlimited under iRacing options. You can also try VSync and see if this goes away.

I add more 8gb on the ram and have better performance. Now will replace the gpu. That's great! The Nvidia seems to be a better choice for the Oculus. I'm using the GTX980 and the performance is perfect with everything on high in iRacing.

My AMC1280USB is on its way! Thanks Thanos! You are welcome. It would been faster if it was not for the Chinese New year slowing down delivery of some of the parts... Thanks Thanos

I work with a few pcb factories in Shenzhen for my main business, so I can totally relate.. February is always my worst month for production.
