hi all, I am having a problem my AMC board. burned an integrated circuit, udn2981 in extention board, changed the IC, but I think that affected other components. the output terminals 0-10 v, the test with multimeter the result of 5v, this is correct? (I think I inverted the connections 24v, I do not remember if that's right.) mine simulator is a 4dof, then only use 1 to 4 in digital connections. The axis 1 does not work, the axle 2 and 3, cw and ccw is spinning rapidly for just seconds give the VFD (SEW) one "F-08" message, the axis 4 is work correctly. will can be the arduino mega ? already checked all the connections are correct and do not know what else can be. attached photo I.C. I hope you have some solution. :S thanks. Rafael

If you are reading only 5v on the analog outputs, is probably because the max motor speed is set to 50%.
Anyway send me an email with your address, to arrange to send you a replacement with the latest 6dof ext v3 board. I don't think anything else should be affected on the main amc1280usb board.
Thanks Thanos

The max speed is set in 100%.

In your video I think I see DIP Switch #4 is up... Perhaps the reason you don't get proper voltages. The DAC powers up in 50% setting unless changed by the amc1280usb commands...
In short, push down DIP switch #4 (OFF).
If that is not the case, just send me email so I can arrange the replacement of your 6DOF ext board.
Thanks Thanos

I never had a main board malfunction (amc1280usb) but then again you said you might connected reversed the +24v... That could burn the pins associated with the SPI communication between the amc1280usb and the 6dof ext board. Do you get response in any analog or digital channel on the 6dof ext board?
I cannot watch your video until later when I'm near WiFi.
Thanks Thanos

Hi seems to me something connected the pots, the IC ad5206 may be faulty, what do you think?
Thanks

It could be. Right next to the ad5206 there is a pin header called analog 0-5v. You could check if you get analog values there.
Generally, not easy to debug this with no easy way to remove the chips. On all my latest boards, these chips are on ic socket to easy replace them.
Thanks Thanos

the problem did not find this IC to replace in my country, only found in digikey. :S I will do this test on pins 0-5v tomorrow. thanks.
