Description (select HD mode on the youtube video)

Update 1.0.0.8:
- Added a pop-up message if plattform reaches minimum or maxiumum configured under the "Manual tab" during plattform motion (e.g. during PID tuning)
- Add a decrease "P" value button on the PID wizard so it is also possible to decrease P during P evalutation (as a gift for riton39

Update 1.0.0.7:
- Added logging capabiltiy for send and recieve to Thanos Board. Check App-Settings:
> when checking the check box --> file gets opened, log gets started
> when unchecking the check box --> file gets closed, log gets stopped, log opened using notepad

Update 1.0.0.5:
- Changes "display" from the meassured Ocilloscope time values from Milliseconds to Seconds
- Also considering zero Sensor values

Update 1.0.0.4:
- Fixed issues to enable "start button from tunning" after heave evaluation is completet.
- Fix missing calculation update if PU was measured only for 1 period (no updated event...) PID should now work for all situations
- Fix Oscilloscope crash if max-slider became less the min slider (caused negative data values)
- change the default value of the "frequency of the Burst Feedback" to 16 on the start of the program
- if I click OFF on the oscilloscope the values jump to the start but does not clear the screen, leaving a mess. --> resetting the screen
- Fixed 2 DOF issue (checked values of actor3, if not numeric, dropping the packet)

Update 1.0.0.3:
- Added check box to exclude actors from the heave position evaluation, allowing to do testing with only one actor
- Only allowing manaul motions and PID wizard if heave evaluation has been completet
- Changed default max (= 40000) and min (=20000) heave.
- Fixed 2,3,4,5 DOF on oscilloscope

fabi Do you think you could make a short demo video of the Auto-tuning procedure? Perhaps showing the improvement of motion on the motors, before and after the tuning of the PID...

I would do one but I don't have 220v for my motor in my lab (ahem, garage).

installed both Thanos FW and Fabi's soft.Everything did well without problem.
yes guys a little explanations needed to avoid doing something wrong.
i just noticed playing with the platform in manuel mode with heave effect .If Min value set to 1 it's a little bit scary because I noticed that the plateform seems to want to go complete backwards to make a full turn !!
i set the min value to 4000 for security .
that's all for now.
second notice : in the screen where we can see what the value returns the amc I got characters which are unreadable!

and yes the oscilloscope feature is awesome Fabi ! thanks

What do you mean by full turn? All the actors go to the very bottom?
Which value do you get if you use the "Evaluate Current Plattform's Heave position"? Would a first jump to this "evaluated heave position" be secure enough?
Maybe we can force this first and set the min and max accordingly....

Isn't the ocilsocope enough? Displaying all the return values would be quite performance consuming...

First I was not knowing how to use the the feature " Evaluate Current ... " .The parameters in the boxes were max around 60000 mid around 32000 and min to exactly 1.
When I hit jump to min position the platform did the movement to the min position but not stop in the min position .I was surprised and I stopped immediatly the simulator .I'm quiet sure that the min position was overshooten.
And yes the actuators go very bottom !

For the second notice , it's just to give a report .The osciloscope is from far bigt enough ;-) !

I let it do I'll see if it moves more ...
and self tuning this tab is grayed out

i select 2 DOF, but i have just one motor to test

You can test this process for each actuator ? Eventhough Thanos board doesn't get until,now the feature for several pid for each motor.

made the auto tuning process and below my notices :

1- when i launched the first time the start auto tuning , the plateform gone quickly up and I pushed my emergency button ! Watch the picture attached .No damage
2 - i tested one more and during the process to increase P the plateform gone quick to up , second emergency button , no problem .

i don't know if that come from the setup for the steps to adjust the P but something send at one moment to the inverters a wrong setpoint or something else.
Behaviour comes peharps from my gear boxes which are not worm gear gear but helical gear ?

You should evaluate the current position of the motors on the start of the program and use these for initial position for the "manual" slider for the motion. Some platforms are just too fast to just send a too far destination setpoint!

vicpopo, lower the max on-line and offline speed on the AMC1280USB before playing with this. Its still beta. I have a list of at least 5 bugs I discovered in the last hour.

I'm working on the individual PID setting for each motor... It just so much code I need to add for this and so little time. I didn't do it yet as usually all motors in a 6DOF platform should be identical as well their PID setting...
