The recommended equipment like the Hitachi inverter , motor and gearbox are not available in Australia and would cost a lot to import.
But SEW Eurodrive have a strong presence in Australia.
Their catalog is vast , so would someone be able to recommend a motor ,gearbox and inverter from their vast inventory ?
I would be very grateful for any help. Thank you.

Hi Vic, Thank you very much .
I was able to identify the Inverter model from your thread . One of your photos shows its a Movitrac B from the SEW Eurodrive Standard series. Your wiring photographs are excellent.
I couldn't find a picture in that thread that shows the Motor/ gearbox model number.
Do you have a photo that shows the Motor/Gearbox model number ?
Thanks again for the link.

Thanks again for doing this.
Sew Eurodrive is obviously a serious company and their catalog is so vast, that I want to be sure I'm choosing the right parts .

Vic, Thank you, Thank you, Image received.
A few years ago , you and Thanos were discussing Helical vs worm drives.
After using helical drives in you project , are you happy with them ?

Yes I’ m always happy with helical and because sew gearboxes havn’t a lot of backlash !! Wormgear have a bad efficiency . So if you want to choose sew equipment no need for me to use wormgear ( S gearbox in sew designation). You can choose R gearbox or K ( i think more expensive). Look at ckas website in your country ;-). Maybe also have a look at linear actuator and the new Thanos board amc development.

AC motors with VFD inverters where great solution back then. Now it seems outdated solution. Perhaps you want to use real Servomotors now... See my blog post here: motionsim.blogspot.com/2019/05/new-firmware-for-easy-aasd-15a.htmlThanks Thanos
