Hello All .. Happy New Year!! I am building a 6DOF flight sim with DC motors( Unite 1016 350 watt, 24VDC and Rated current 18Amps), H bridges( Sabertooth 2x25) and with linear actuators. Now I am stuck with power supply issue. when all the 6 DC motors need to work at its peak of 18Amps, the source needs to supply 108 Amps. which is huge!! How do I go about it?? looking forward for any comments .. Thanks

"when all the 6 DC motors need to work at its peak of 18Amps" its highly unlikely all 6 motors will draw peak 18amps all at the same time. Amps at 12v is higher than amps at 240v therefore the PSU's will draw far less amps than the 12v output. your sim should run fine on your normal house mains circuit. jacobs-online.biz/understanding_transformers.htm

Hi paulg100.. Thanks for the reply. can you plesae explain me little more? What kind of PSU? what can be the ratings of this which suits my 24VDC 350 watt motors?
I would prefer a source where my house's mains 240Volts, 5 Amps gets converted to DC with required 25VDC.
Thank you!

any 24v psu that outputs enough amps. you will likely need more than one, maybe one for each pair, or even one for each motor.
Or you can go the car battery route.
24v psu's are allot more expensive than used 12v server psu'soff ebay.
why are you going 24v route when others are running effective actuator rigs with 12v motors.
look on Alibaba or aliexpress for 24v psu's if your set on going that route.
your probably better asking on xsimulator.net, most of the builds here are AC I think.
