Hi Michal.
I like the very small footprint of your 3DOF simulator! I think it would be very easy to add YAW rotation as well (even limited 180 degrees rotation) to help with the immersion with helicopter rotation!

In latest firmware, when you set 4DOF mode, you can set individual PID with sensoreless 360 motion for YAW ( 4th axis). Then you could use the 3 first axis combined and the 4th axis for yaw alone. So an easy way to add yaw whould be if you place the whole platform on a rotating plate moved by a single motor commanded by 4th axis. You won't need potentiometer for position feedback, but it still needs one connected to be able to find home position when you power up the amc1280usb controller. A simple 360 potentiometer with no end stops is needed for the 4th axis. You should upgrade to the latest firmware! I building a motion sim with AMC1280usb motion to use Pitch, Roll and Yaw.
Can use the old firmaware or I need to upload v_21b to make it works?
Also, I need some help with BFF config or X-sim profile.

If not using the unlimited Yaw you can still use it as normal. Check Ian's manual how to setup his motion software for 3DOF with Yaw instead of Heave. For X-sim its easier as you can assign the axis in the order you like. Thanks Thanos |

I've download to my amc1280 v2.1b.
BFF software looks more stable than x-sim, but a little bit difficult to config.
I'm learning about BFF, but On my Test PC I have strange "noise output" from fsuipc(4949) effects #33(2F78) and #34(31D0).
Did you know something about it?
