Hi, I use the Hitachi Inverter WJ200-015HF. I have wired the Inverter with the AMC1280USB and extension 6DOF board accordingly to Thanos great diagram and the magnetic contactless position sensor, too. In the meantime the Inverter is connected to the motor and the three-phase system. Now my question: Do I have to program the Inverter first or will it be possible to control the motor by the Thanos board in combination with Ian's BFF motion driver software, only? If I connect the Inverter to the thre-phase system it's running, but the indication of the Inverter shows zero and after pushing the RUN and STOP buttom there are no changing anything at the Inverter and the motor doesn't run. Sorry for my stupid question maybe. Any kind of help would be very welcome!
Hi Thanos, thank you for your informations. I've set the parameters on the VFD like in the list. Acceleration and deceleration time a had to change from 0.01 to 0.10 because an error code(E03.4 and E02.2) occured, after changing it was ok. The motor axis turned about 180° at the beginning then no moving of the motoraxis again. Maybe it's important, but I'm not able to set the Inverter A005 extended function mode to 04, because it's possible to change it from 00 to 03 only.
If I'm running Ian's 6DOF Software in connection to X-Plane 10 so it's no probleme to see the different values of the 6 axis by changing the airplane(roll, pitch, yaw etc.)on the display of the AMC1280USB board. I can see there the changing of the axis values(more or less of the illuminated amplitude), but there is no changing of the connected motor sector, the ampilutde is constant, in this case No 1. I'm a little bit confused and ask for help!
OK! the motor is running, but in a very fast and little movements right and left(about 2-5°). The indication of the VFD in d005 showed a vertical line at position 1 above and a vertical line at position 2 below and this both vertical lines are switching in the same frequency like the axis of the motor is turning. If I remove the control signal wire of the contactles position sensor the motor turned slowly in one direction and the indication of d005 is constant for 1 above and 2 below. Are there any suggestions to solve my probleme?
Try to reduce the max motor speed (online and offline) in the LCD menu of the AMC1280USB... I think your motor gearbox is too fast to settle in the PID value. Then decrease the P value until it stops oscillating.
Hi, thank you. I reduced the max.motor speed gradually until 30% in the LCD menu of the AMC1280USB and I decreased the P value until 10(less wasn't possible), but unfortunately oscillation of the motor axis didn't stop. Is it possible to measure the signal voltage of the contactles position sensor(I don't mean the 5+V)?
Yes, you can measure the potentiometer voltage while its connected. Check my YouTube videos. I have some good examples there. Can you make a short video of the connections the cables you used, the sensor position and the motor moving? It will greatly help to find the best solution.
6DOF 16-bit <P>:10 <i>:1 <d>:1 Motor max speed 100% Motor min speed 1% Feedback limits 10% Sensor direction Pos 135 Neg 246 6DOF start pos 50
The motor turns in a hig frequency left and right in a very short way(about 1-5°) only. If I change F002 and F003 to 0.7 or higher the motor turns in a lower frequenzy left and right, but the way is longer(about 20-30°) If I change on the Thanos board the sensor direction to Pos 1-2-3-4-5-6 the motor don't turn anymore and the run LED is illuminated very short with breaks and d005 the right vertikal lines 1 and 2 switching vice versa, but synchronous like the LED The output voltage of the 6DOF Ext. of the channel in use is 0,5V I use the BFF motion driver X-Plane_v318 from Ian.
I've troubles to upload a video respectively photos to this thread, maybe it is locked? (Please Thanos see PM)
Thanos could you show me a circuit diagramm for the connection of an switch or pot to simulate the moving outputs of an axis (I think it sholud be wired on the pins in the middle of the AMC1280USB). And where I can see which firmware is in use actual on the AMC1280USB
Hi, I've no potentiometer connected/attached to the engine.
Did you mean with the AMC buttom to move up or down the engine the four buttons in the upper part of the AMC (left, right, up and down) and what is the sense of these buttons - for testing purposes only? Do you adjusted b083 to 5? I'll have a looke in the VFD manual to auto tuning the drive.
dureiken: Hi there, it's really quiet here someone could help me for my 6 dof project ? thanks a lot

tronicgr: dureiken Hi, Open a thread and I'll try my best to help. A little busy with Kickstarter details at the moment but I'll see what I can do.

fimmy: How's the firmware going?
Sept 6, 2017 8:34:43 GMT
tronicgr: @fimmy I had to put it on hold to finalize the manufacturing of the new kickstarter controllers. I tested parts of it to ensure compliance with the new features and looks good so far. I'll get back to it soon for integration.

Theuns: Very nice design.I'm also busy with mine and changing it also to Linear Actuators with 220v Servo motors.I'm waiting for my new controllers from Thanos. If I may ask Do you have any Sketchup files of your design and willing to share it I Thanks Theuns

atayeu: Hey everyone! I'm reading up and gathering all of the intel I can find for my first motion platform. this is by far best information for creating one.

tmcnam: I must be crazy but I still can't find the blueprints to the platform by GA-Dawg. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Trip Rodriguez: Sorry tmcnam, the shoutbox doesn't get much attention. Did you find the blueprints? They are at the VERY bottom of the extremely long first post. It says "attachments: 6DOF.zip
