Is it different from the first 2.0?

Is it different from the first 2.0? Its the same, I just made a thread for it to track any bugs we encounter. Haven't seen any complaints for bugs apparently!!

hi thanos I noticed a difference between the "Software Fabi" and the menu of the AMC. you had advised me to put 1 oversample for optimum setting.
in the FABI soft menu, the cursor moves from 1 to 16 . bits ?? what is this setting? This is the same setting as the oversample AMC menu ??
can you explain here what is the function of setting the oversample AMC? what is the best setting for precision and optimum results?
from the FABI software I understand that it adjusts the resolution of the potentiometer.
in this case should be adjusted to 16 bits?
But you counseled adjusting to 1 or 4 Thanks

Hmm I just noticed that as well. You are right its not bits, its number of samples thus the title "oversample". So if you choose "1" it takes one sample of the analog inputs. If you choose "2" or more it takes multiple samples and uses their average value, which kind of filters out noise and increases a little bit the resolution near 16bit level. The tradeoff is a slower cycle speed of the controller that in some fast motors might translate in instability. Thanks Thanos

and so ? for quality of effects, the best setting is 1?
if I want to get the details in the effects game, precision and big resolution effects in games I have to put 1 or 16?
My potentiometer is pretty accurate, I try to optimize the quality of effects.

Just set it to 1.

Ok thanks just for information , may be, it is interesting to communicate to the AMC users, that the correct setting is 1 .. and then there is an error in the Fabi software with the designation.

Ok thanks just for information , may be, it is interesting to communicate to the AMC users, that the correct setting is 1 .. and then there is an error in the Fabi software with the designation. The correct setting is not 1, its just the correct for fast motors. Slower motors might benefit by increasing this to 3 or 4. Its not Fabian's fault, this oversampling is actually increasing sample size as its adding each sample n-times. For example for number 2 it adds the values like: 1024 + 1024 = 2048 (11 bit!!) For number 4: 1024 + 1024 + 1024 + 1024 = 4096 (12 bit !!) And so on... Thanks Thanos

Ok thanks , you made these new release to improve the communication with Fabi's software when settings parameters ?

Ok thanks , you made these new release to improve the communication with Fabi's software when settings parameters ? In this beta release I only added ramp on the switch between online offline mode and an extra switch for delayed activation of teknic clear path servomotors. I just got feedback anyway that it maxes out the online offline speed as soon it connects. So I need to go back for debugging. Not stable enough as I thought. Thanks Thanos

Its not final version yet but looks stable to me so far: www.dropbox.com/s/2xql4dmh9iguk2b/enc_6dof_AMC1280USB_v21c.hex?dl=0It adds a selectable ramp increase in speed while switching between on-line and offline mode. You can change the delay of the ramp in a new sub menu under the Max Motor speed menu. The delay is in ms 0-10ms, with 0ms disables the ramp completely. The ms delay is from the cycle that lasts usually 1ms, so it will delay the normal run cycle by the amount you add to the ramp, but don't worry, it lasts only during the ramp, not all the time. This beta version is not fully tested yet, but any feedback on its behavior is welcome. Thanks Thanos
