Thanos, the programm still doesnt connect to the board, as input setting i selected serial. i have interface-output and shutdown-output but not startup-output, maybe thats the problem. ill ask carbon also thanks I modified a profile for simtools 2.0 with parameters for amc1280usb, see if it works. I don't have the simtools to try it. SimToolsv2.0_AMC1280USB_InterfaceConfig.zip (587 B) Thanks Thanos

If you have found the solution please let us know:-) I will try it myself in the next couple of days, although I have the software and license I haven't used it yet. I never had this sim on xsimulat, ony used BFF. But I want to try it on xsimulator v2 too..:-)

Hey Thanos, The profile is not working. i tried the BFF Software from Ian and it works but not with simtools. the board and the software are not connecting and i have no idea anymore on what it could be that we didnt do. If you want there is always the option of skype and teamviewer to check it yourself, that would be easier for us. thanks for your time

I managed to get connected with [A<Axis1a>][B<Axis2a>][C<Axis3a>][D<Axis4a>][E<Axis5a>][F<Axis6a>]
But as soon as I try to test Motor 4 wants to go round and motor3 keeps the low value.. so I still have to figure out what is causing that as BFF is running smooth!

I'm not sure if I can test it in demo mode, I'll give it a try. Can you share the preset file here? Thansk Thanos

Ok, I tested it myself. I got motion to all 6 axis correctly using the following settings. The Interface settings are: BitsPerSec: 250000Databits: 8Parity: NoneStopbits: 1Output - Bit Range: 16Output - Type: BinaryInterface - Output: AB<Axis1a><Axis2a><Axis3a><Axis4a><Axis5a><Axis6a>For 4DOF use: Interface - Output: AB<Axis1a><Axis2a><Axis3a><Axis4a>I saved these settings in file too if you want to copy paste in the apropriate folders of simtools: SimToolsv2.0_AMC1280USB_InterfaceAssignments.zip (587 B) I hope that helps. I can't do much more in Demo mode... Thanks Thanos

I can confirm that these settings work.. xsimulator is not what I am used to in 6dof envoronments.. I've tried Iracing but it felt no good.. perhaps I need to do tuning or whatever but it can't compare to BFF..

That's true, Ian's 6dof bff motion software is using in inverse kinematics and classic washout filters to produce quality motion, while none of these features are available still in simtools. It can't even combine basic axis motion. www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/seattimes-6dof-dc-build.6106/page-28#post-124207

If your still looking for xsimulator.net (simtools) v2.0 here this is what worked for me You will also need to setup the Axis....<<<<PLEASE NOTE>>>>> xsimulator does not have a math function and will not stop your rig...Collision can occur and extra caution is needed

Wait what? I thought the big deal with Simtools 2.0 was it was supposed to have proper Stewart 6DOF support! What the hell SimTools!? I guess I can stop messing with trying to use SimTools and go back to BFF. Trip

Hmph. I want SimTools for the massive game library compatible via plugins (Elite Dangerous especially for now, Star Citizen when it comes), so hopefully that math plugin comes eventually.
