Hello everybody , Planning to build a 6 dof platform , thanos board ordered and while looking for AC motors and componement on the net i found these actuators : dartactuators.com/Working with potentiometers or hall effect , the caracteristics seems good (81.7 lbf at 13.3 in/s*) , with 12 V DC motors sabertooth etc, not very cheap but less mechanics parts to buy compare to a 6 dof with ac motors apparently .. 1)For me it seems promising but i need your opiniion as i m a total newbie .. 2)Second question : will theses actuators would be configurable to a simpler 4 dof like this one (http://www.motion-sim.cz/new/?page=home&article=7) with thanos card and simtool etc ... thanks by advance . JP

I also seen these actuator kits does not come with motors. If you add the cost for motor and motor driver and power source, you might as well get a real AC Servomotor solution. The vendor for AMC1280USB compatible AC linear actuators in Korea, sells 1KW 400mm with 250mm/s speed (260kg load), complete kit for around $900 (complete with actuator motor, servo drive, cables, attachments). motionsim.blogspot.com/2017/06/new-linear-servomotor-actuator-solution.htmlThanks Thanos
