@riton
With my previous board (10 bit), the sensor feedback limiting for my 180 sensors was functionning well at 10 perc. I saw your motor making 360 tourns like mine while using 12bits out's. I could avoid the issue by pushing the sensor feedback limiter to 50 perc. You could maybe give a try.
cheers

OK, I can confirm a fully working rig with the new 2017 controller board.
setup:
win 8.1 AMC firmware 2.4 rev3 PWM mode (clear path dc motors) 12 bits outputs 10 bits analogue sensors
config issues:
Setup through fabi's configurator - not working. compatibility issues.
Compared to the previous board I had to reduce the P from 15 to 8 and the sensor feedback limit from 10 to 50.
Good job Thanos!
Cheers

Hi Ignacy,
Thanks for news. I'm glad it works now.
But I need to fix the PID to be in the same range as the 8bit outputs. So it will give you same Proportional amount for both resolutions. I'll have an update in the firmware for you to test the next days. Thanks
Did you notice the errors in speed in certain positions in the new 6DOF plugin?
Thanks Thanos

it seems to work at home too. I did some quick tests before leaving (I am in the USA for professional training) config: 2.4 REV 3 Inverter, 10 bit In / 12 bit out. PID: 40/0/0 the PID is strange, I and D must be 0 I did not test in games. I would do more testing when I get home

Check if the S3 outputs 5v as it should connect to the Enable signal of the clearpath. The only change from before is where you connect the pwm signal. Thanks Thanos Is that what you are askig for? youtu.be/F4sakduCKsMS3 seems to works like previously. "CPL Low PWM" mode enabled or disabled, don't have much effect on the motor behaviour even with extreme settings (resolution pulse deley). cheers

Would it be technically possible to disable temporary the PID of the AMC and relay on the clearpath PID only? What do you think? Would it work? cheers

a communication on the current and future firmware would be nice Thanos no? thanks. can we update? enc_6dof_AMC1280USB_v2.4_rev4_autocalibrate3_robson

I think the only difference is it has the capability to capture multiple turns on an absolute encoder, but only works for Axis-1 but seems to have some other problems.

I mean it does have to maintain the speed but its not setup for positioning, unless you use it as pulse-burst mode which if you remember had restrained motion envelope with no real-time response.

everything works well for all new card buyers? no news on the PID? I'm doing changes on the PID and will release a new firmware soon so the 12-bit sensors and output will work same as the 8-bit and 10bit... Thanks Thanos

I could not detect any jumping values after downgrading the 2017 controller to the 2.1c It seems it is a firmware issue

After downgrading the 2017 controller to the 2.1c, I've upgraded again to 2.4 and the jumps are NOT there..... gone by miracle? I am really confused. Please re test with the lastest version of the plugin. cheers
