I've finished most of my panels to cover-up most of the gear boxes to give the platform a more sleeker and finished appearance. I've also added my butt-kicker to my upper platform, which is now sporting it's finished black top. I'm awaiting my monitor stand so I can complete my upper platform with the chair but I made a video using rfactor to show how the platform is moving and I think it's moving great so far. I tuned down some of my motions for the racing sim to feel more realistic. I am no longer getting error codes as I have kept my accel and decel settings at .5 You will also notice the bolts holding the platform to the floor in the video. My FPS will be better once I start using my gaming computer. All running on this older laptop for the moment.
Mike, any time you would like to talk, let me know. Are you located in the states?? I'm sure your project is going to be awesome!!

Thanos....we're you able to see the video? Hi stevant , Yes I was able to see it now. It moves really good! I wish I could hear the actual noise from the motors, I mean the music is nice don't get me wrong, but to a trained ear the actual motor and actuator noise can actually tell more than just the image. Thanks Thanos

Ok.....I removed the music. The sound on the computer is turned up, sorry about that. I hope you can hear what you want too. The upper platform is really quiet once it gets weight on it.

I hooked up my kill switch on my AMC1280USB. It works great.........thanks Thanos!!! Try both modes. You might find useful to use it as option 1 to ignore motion data and slowly park the motors instead to the home position. Then you could run another safety switch through all "enable" signals on the vfd`s to actually disable the drives if need to.

Hey guys,
I'm interseted to try the option 1 with the kill switch ( cut off motion data and slow speed to park the simulator) , did you have a little wiring diagram or an explaination how did you connect this. Thanks! And what and beautiful painting and finishing ;-)

Hi Thanos,
I have it set for option 1. When I was talking to Mike the other night, he reminded me to hook up the kill switch which I did. When I turn on my switch, the motion stops and it slowly moves back to the center position. When I turn the switch off, the simulator starts up again without missing a beat. It will do wonders if you are racing and you need to use the restroom...lol! It is very easy to wire Vic. On the AMC1280USB, there are two screw connections, lower left corner (blue). You simply hook up 20/2 wire, and when you touch the wires together via a switch the motion stops. When you disconnect them via a switch the motion picks up again. Option 1 on the AMC will return the platform slowly to the center where option 2 on the AMC will stop the platform exactly where it was. 1 to me is better as it might be safer than to try and remove yourself from the platform in a wild position. Very simple to hook up and a great safety feature.
Always thinking Thanos.....good job!!!!!!!
