Hi!
New to this forum and my first post,
I did get from Thanos my ACM1280USB a year a go, due to limited time, the project was on old.
Project is ready to roll again, motor is on order, (Sumitomo Cyclo, .5hp 17rpm), now is time to chose my VDF, my question is do I need to include a EMC filter with my drive?
The VDF I'm looking for is from Rockwell Automation PowerFlex 525
Thank you for your help!

Hi @flyhigher
No, you don't need to add EMC filter. The only reason to benefit from it is to prevent EMI noise in the power lines if you share the same lines for devices that will affect their reception (like on TV's for example).
You may want to place the AMC1280USB in a metal box though (Isolation chamber) if you like to prevent EMI noise from the motors leak to the Analog Input signals of the controller and use Audio shielded cables (with metal jacket housing) for the position sensors.
Thanks Thanos
