hi
Is it possible to put a security in the event of breakage or potentiometer hall effect sensor ...
if the sensor breaks, the cam could turn non stop. can there be a simulator Stop in poor position reading?
Unfortunately this will happen one day ... date, if the sim stop, this could limit the damage
one could imagine a stop mode in case of failure, and cut the engine in case of problem detection?
I do not know if this is possible?
if there exceeded the dead zone of potentiometers, cut engine if there is a misreading of the position, engine cut if there is no reading of a potentiometer, engine cut ... if the card is in mode 3 DOF, Reading 2 sensor, engine cut .... If the card is in 6DOF mode, reading 5 sensor, engine cut ...

Hi Richard,
Its possible to implement safety monitoring like this in the firmware, but how could I do them universal? I could base the monitoring in time passed without setpoint reached, 1-2 sec perhaps? Selectable delay better?
And then there is possibility to use limit switches that will cut the motion of the motor not allowing it to go beyond certain travel range... see recent thread that I describe a little bit about how to hook these limit switches...
Thanks Thanos

I do not know. I launched the idea to exchange with each other and share the idea. 1 s my engine that moves 180 degrees ... I'm doing the tests with switch to slip a long time ago, and although I was breaking. too slow to switch.
we need to find a simple solution unuverselle. can be related to the dead zone. if some ms in the dead zone, cut the engines. and if no measure for some ms, cut the engines.
