Hi, Just to let you know, last week Ian added support for car racing simulators as well, for his 6DOF and 3DOF versions of his software. You can test his 6DOF version with LFS, iRacing, rFactor, Asseto Corsa and F1 2013 here: bffsimulation.com/6DOF-Motion-Software.phpIf you have any suggestions for popular car racing games that he can add support for, please leave your comments. Thanks Thanos

Iracing would be a great racing game to have support for!

Iracing would be a great racing game to have support for! I already suggested that game to Ian but not sure how he can test it as its subscription only game. Unless someone can let him him use his account for a little bit perhaps...

Unless someone can let him him use his account for a little bit perhaps... That would work, but it might also be worth just to send an email to developers. I suppose they should be very happy to give a free license to Ian and also to help him develop 6dof plugin. Also they currently have FREE three months trial www.iracing.com/nurburgring1000/(*Offer expires 10/15/2014)

Thanks Tino.
I'll let Ian know!
Edit- Ian's response:
I added version for Live for Speed today, and updated the others with a GUI change. The M button gives some additional checkboxes to temporarily enable/disable individual DOF's for testing - useful when just looking at one cue.
Also the F1 2013 version also support DiRT 3 as it's from the same software house (although the most recent version appears to throw up winsock errors when its UDP is enabled - a known issue according to the forums).
I see there are some API apps for iRacing and a single month subscription is only $6 so I should be able to look at it..

I've watched a few of iRacing introduction videos and they mention several times how simulations on PC are hard because you don't have motion cues as you do in a real car! www.youtube.com/watch?v=67QdwMZPxkY&index=7&list=PLFB47FE28B00FD472If Ian's work goes well they will have to re-write some of the videos I've tried iRacing briefly last night and their physics model (FF especially) is much better than any other racing sims I've tried so far.

I just tried Ian's software with LFS at home. It work perfectly! The only thing I had to change was the default UDP port to the one that LFS is using as default: OutSim Mode 1 OutSim Delay 1 OutSim IP 127.0.0.1 OutSim Port 4123
OutSim ID 0 Ian's software config settings changed to: ;Receiving Port for UDP data on motion driver PC PortS= 4123
;IP Address of motion driver PC on the LAN, = 127.0.0.1 if sim and motion software on same PC ;IPAddress=192.168.1.76 IPAddress=127.0.0.1 It runs really smooth!! I have to setup my scaled platform and make some demo video tomorrow Thanos

Ian's work is amazing! I like his washout algorithms and quality of motion. I have tried a demo version of iRacing 5 years ago and I was impressed with the FFB quality! I can imagine its even better now!

I'm trying to get Dirt3 up and running using the F1 software as suggested it might work but I'm getting an error.
Here it is:
Sendto failed error 10038: An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket.
The game worked once but then the same error returned.
Any ideas?............it was a great ride while it lasted!!!!!!

Maybe here you can find some more info about it: www.x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=73&t=97

Thanks Thanos.......not sure where to make those changes. Maybe you can help me to get. Assetto Corso working on x-sim? Very strange how it opens the game yet when you hit the start button it tells you to open through the extractor which I did....... ?
