Hi, I try Simtools (output testing) for AMC1280USB 4DOF (independent actuators)and it doesn´t work right (irregular working).
Someone with an interface setting working right witn no 6DOF type?
Thank you

Thank you Can you post some photos of the simtools axis configuration and axis scaling tabs? Perhaps you are mixing motion wrong. Also a photo of your platform (motor placement) is desirable as could be mixed motion 4DOF or 3DOF + 1DOF rotation? Also post a photo of the a serial connection settings on simtools, to see what delay and data string you have there. Thanks Thanos

It worsks with the following interface setting, but there are comunication failures, like the data packing is not well. Not regular. I test more Interface setings, for example: AB<Axis1><Axis2><Axis3><Axis4> AB<255><127><255><127><255><127><255><127> but it didnt work. I´m using simtools output testing giving orders direct to Axis 2 (the only one conected from the board to the vfd): I´m testing over AMC1280USB 2.1b with a vfd and a motor (still not a platform). AMC1280USB setting 4DOF . The idea is a clasic 3DOF + YAW360

It looks like we must send always the 6 Numbers. AB<Axis1><Axis2><Axis3><Axis4><Axis5><Axis6> It is not efficiency?
So, i have oscillations around 0 Hz. I try different PIDs values

It cant even combine basic axis motion at all or not accurately enough? So simtools is leading in term of game support. Anyone has got it working or it just doesnt work well enough to be worth it? Maybe someone can post a video. I am so interested in elite dangerous but it seems simtools is the only one supporting it currently and in VR too.

Did somebody linked successfully those two software? (simtools/BFF) Is this possible to output simtools telemetry with the washout filters?
cheers
did somebody tried that? I am curious if it works with simtools2 cheers
I quoted this here since this is relevant Good idea. I am willing to try but i do not know how to forward the data from x-sim or simtools to bff There is that setting in bff to forward udp but we want it the other way around. I hope hexpod or tronicgr can tell me how to do this in theory, i will be glad to try it out. I can use my laptop as client to send the udp to another pc for the bff. Then i will post the result here.

Worse case email me the photos... Thanks Thanos

Is it the correct settings for Simtools ?
BitsPerSec: 250000 Databits: 8 Parity: None Stopbits: 1
Output - Bit Range: 16 Output - Type: Binary
Interface - Output: AB<Axis1a><Axis2a><Axis3a><Axis4a><Axis5a><Axis6a>
For 4DOF use: Interface - Output: AB<Axis1a><Axis2a><Axis3a><Axis4a>
