What happens is if you use the existing UDN chips with sink jumper sertings, you are shorting them to 24v, and probably inject some current of the 24v to the ground signal, causing the screens to sync out.
I have 24V PSU on the the terminal that is marked 15v input and the jumper is set to 15V, could this be the reason ?
No, everything looks connected ok, but it seems something is leaking current back to the pc ground (via USB) and that's enough to disturb the screens. Are the screens HDMI connection?
Also apart from the screens problem does the platform move correctly?
I was thinking it might be that it needs inverted signal on the direction outputs to each vfd, as now it keeps both direction lines low if it reaches target speed and translates to both lines active. What is the default action of the vfd if both direction inputs are active? Is it brake or ?
Also you should try to connect the 6dof ext ground (GND) to a good mains ground to have any leaked current escape from there instead of back to the USB connector ground to the PC.
The platform moves correctly, except that sometimes or rarely it moves suddenly without any commands from the game (i.e. Game and Ian software are not running) it makes rapid short movement (sometimes one arm and sometimes all six arms).
I went through the whole VFD manual and could not know default action of the vfd if both direction inputs are active.
I did ground for the board and PC but still the issue is there. Any more ideas on this? How to check for leaked current?
Update: Today I measured the direction outputs while the VFD is running and they read 24v or 0V

fimmy: How's the firmware going?
Sept 6, 2017 8:34:43 GMT
tronicgr: @fimmy I had to put it on hold to finalize the manufacturing of the new kickstarter controllers. I tested parts of it to ensure compliance with the new features and looks good so far. I'll get back to it soon for integration.

Theuns: Very nice design.I'm also busy with mine and changing it also to Linear Actuators with 220v Servo motors.I'm waiting for my new controllers from Thanos. If I may ask Do you have any Sketchup files of your design and willing to share it I Thanks Theuns

atayeu: Hey everyone! I'm reading up and gathering all of the intel I can find for my first motion platform. this is by far best information for creating one.

tmcnam: I must be crazy but I still can't find the blueprints to the platform by GA-Dawg. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Trip Rodriguez: Sorry tmcnam, the shoutbox doesn't get much attention. Did you find the blueprints? They are at the VERY bottom of the extremely long first post. It says "attachments: 6DOF.zip
