Hi all,
I did setup for three screens, and when I connect AMC1280USB board to the PC one or two of the screens go black. When I unplug the board the screen which went black go back to normal and becomes ON.
Here is a video showing this, after I plug the board the left screen goes black:
Note: VFD brand: Huanyang It accepts SINK signals, so I configured ext board to receive Sinking signals. I suspect that there is electricity goes from the board to the PC!
Thanks in advance

Take a close up photo of the 6fod ext. I suspect you didn't change the UDN chips, with the ULN chips that are used for Sink signals. See the old manual for example of sink connection. www.dropbox.com/s/1qun9agpaq425p3/amc1280usbmanual_rev2.pdfWhat happens is if you use the existing UDN chips with sink jumper sertings, you are shorting them to 24v, and probably inject some current of the 24v to the ground signal, causing the screens to sync out. Thanks Thanos

Thanks for the photo, but I cannot read what the two chips are on that photo, are the UDNXXXXX or UDNXXXXX? Thanks Thanos

No, everything looks connected ok, but it seems something is leaking current back to the pc ground (via USB) and that's enough to disturb the screens. Are the screens HDMI connection? Also apart from the screens problem does the platform move correctly? I was thinking it might be that it needs inverted signal on the direction outputs to each vfd, as now it keeps both direction lines low if it reaches target speed and translates to both lines active. What is the default action of the vfd if both direction inputs are active? Is it brake or ? Also you should try to connect the 6dof ext ground (GND) to a good mains ground to have any leaked current escape from there instead of back to the USB connector ground to the PC. Thanks Thanos

Hi Thanos
Yes, cables I am using are HDMI cables.
The platform moves correctly, except that sometimes or rarely it moves suddenly without any commands from the game (i.e. Game and Ian software are not running) it makes rapid short movement (sometimes one arm and sometimes all six arms).
I went through the whole VFD manual and could not know default action of the vfd if both direction inputs are active.
I did ground for the board and PC but still the issue is there. Any more ideas on this? How to check for leaked current?
Update: Today I measured the direction outputs while the VFD is running and they read 24v or 0V
Thanks

Problem solved :-)
I replaced HDMI cables and display ports with a better quality ones.
Thanks

I had the same issue with 3 LED tvs 1 would go dark or really bad distortion. Bought good HDMI and DP cables - fixed.
