Excellent!!!
could you test please if you can also achieve a stable response with the cable length up to 1meter??
cheers

I'll try to get on my hands on USB-C cable that has enough wires in it. I found some 3ft ones for $10 which is about 1 meter. I'll order a second sensor for now for testing. I'll have to make a small pcb adapter for multiplexing all the six sensors wiring on the existing analog inputs and add option in the LCD menu selecting the type of sensor used. On next AMC1280USB pcb version I'll have most parts SMD that will leave more space for connectors like that. Thanks Thanos

Testing with longer wires shows no difference in readings of the sensor. Its expected as the transmission is digital, thus no noise can be introduced in the lines.
I'll have to make a 2.5m long cable to try again to see if I get voltage drop that affects the frequency of the clock of the serial interface.
Thanks Thanos

You do not have fréquence inverter to do the test, No noise.

hope someone can test this on full scale motion simulator and tell us real world difference compared to analog sensor

hope someone can test this on full scale motion simulator and tell us real world difference compared to analog sensor There is already a person from France waiting for me to release the firmware and connections information to test on his platform. Hopefully it won't be long before we have some results. Thanks Thanos

Thanks Thanos I'm ready I have being coding all day, as it needs to adapt in many places from the normalization, PID and even display. Right now I can switch between analog and ssi sensors with an option in the menu and hard reboot. One more day I'll have some basic tests done. Some photos of the simple adapter for the connections. Thanks Thanos

Yes, This connector will fit. I got separate parts for mine as the didn't had the whole assembly in stock in Digikey.

It's unbelievable how many places in the code I still have to change for the new sensors. They have 4 times more resolution and trying to get advantage of it. But the cost is rewriting essentially the PID code and many of the other stability code even the one that parks the motor when goes offline!
I'll patch it for now for testing, in lower resolution so it can work with the DAC and the low PWM resolution, and increase it when I merge it to the higher resolution 12bit PWM 6dof ext that I design in parallel.
It will also have the higher resolution with existing 6dof ext eventually as soon I refine the limits for the new sensors.
More news soon!
