Hello there,
After looking at my VFD manual I found that I need 300 watt, 70 ohm braking resistor. My VFD brand is Huanyang 2.2 kW.
However in the manual they wrote these steps: 1 The setting of Ramp-down Time is too long. Decrease Ramp-down Time. 2 Add a braking resistor. 3 Add a DC brake.
Step no. 3 confused me, what does that mean?
Thanks

Hi , I asked to someone dc brake what does it means. He said and I'm pretty agree with him : forget it ! With a simulator it will increase a lot the motor temperature and it will decrease the simulator response.
It's usefull when you want slow down the inertia when decceleration but for lift up and down applications and not for our application for simulator ( a lot of movements every seconds)

Thanks a lot
What about AC reactor and electromagnetic contactor?
Anyone used them in their simunaltor? Are they mainly for protection? My initial plan was to use only braking resistor until I looked at a section of my VFD manual where it is mentioned the reactor and contactor.
