Hi all
I am trying to build my first 6Dof mini platform
I think i did 70 % of the work but still have some problems
i am using AMC1280USB 6DOF + 6 rc servo (polou ext)
-first issue is the servo position i have seen some platform with servos place vertically and other horizontally some with arms facing each other and some placed on opposite direction but i cant find any tutorial or information about how to design the position
i tried different way and checked placement order of the motor and still cant find whats wrong , the movement is not what it spouse to be
- if i fix this issue is it going to work with bff and X-sim or each one have different configuration and i have to make new design ?
- is there any way i can move each servo individually so i can make sure all connection and software config is write ? for example : i want to move servo 6 to make sure the software define it as actuator 6
thank you

Change the 6dof direction setting to match the direction of the servos placement.
Thanks Thanos

Change the 6dof direction setting to match the direction of the servos placement. Thanks Thanos do you mean "sensor direction " in the board's LCD ? i tried all choices and it's still doesn't move correctly the current setting is : Pos 1-2-3-4-5-6 the servos connected as this pic shown in attachment i will upload video to show you how it's move

I am guessing in this but it looks like, based on the heave video, that the motor 2,4,6 or 1,3,5 should be inverted?
But again, who am I, I have the board, but never used yet! so 0 experience

It should be half motors Positive direction and half Negative direction. All platforms have this arrangement if you are using identical gearboxes and sensors connected to measure to same direction. The miniservos fall into this category as well unless you can open them and modify the motor and potentiometer connections.
Thanks Thanos

BIN2TH is the 16-bit setting that Ian made for the communications with AMC1280USB. before: Port=COM3 Baud=250000 Mode=MAEST after: Port=COM3 Baud=250000 Mode=BIN2TH Thanks Thanos

It must be a setting in Ian's BFF software,as it works fine with x-sim 6dof plugin...

it's moving finally , this is test with Asseto Corsa ( Iracing have better respond with more details) I didn't tune the movement because it's not important at this stage , once i build the full scale i with fine tune it thank you for the support Asseto Corsa , gt-r , spa i have to drive softly because once the platform got extreme output it freeze
