Happy New Year everyone! Just a quick update, I've finished the simulator with Sabertooth 2x32 controllers, (my amc1280 from kicksterter has not arrived yet) Triple screens worked well, but I've decided to use 1080p projector for now. I've been having problems with motor 2, I've tried switching around sabertotoh controllers, cables, potentiates etc, but I think the fault might be with Thanos card. It shows most often using heave motion in 6dof.exe , every so often motor 2 ends up going in opposite direction, did anyone else have a similar issue? When is the eta for kickstarter cards? Happy New Year! I'm shipping out the kickstarter rewards as fast as i can. Send me a message on kickstarter to check the status of your reward. Can't always tell who is who there. Thanks Thanos

Thanks Thanos, I've sent you a message on kickstarter. Here is a short video of the platform I made last month with screens on. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7GG9a0jhx8The motors are currently running on one broken car battery and a battery charger with 15amp fuse, I'll hook up 2000w server psu once I'm happy how the platform is behaving. Do anyone know what might be causing problems with motor 2 (I think the problem is not visible in this video), anything I can check?

A few firmware versions back I had bugs with PID on some of the motors interfering with others. These issues should be corrected in the latest version (v2.4 Rev3): www.dropbox.com/s/ukzaj0qdul5epwp/enc_6dof_AMC1280USB_v2.4_rev3.hex?dl=0I'm preparing your kickstarter rewards for shipping by the end of the week. You will bet notification on kickstarter as soon they are shipped. Thanks Thanos

I've made a short video about this issue: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAGwRHFh54AThe problem occurs on 0.37 and 1.05 Does this looks like a faulty amc1280, or some other issue?

Hi Thanos, I'm checking the status of shipment, I have not received any update on kickstarter?
I also have a question about limit switches.
I've connected all switches to kill master switch on amc1280, for now. This works ok when amc1280 is in use, however when PC goes into restart, or when usb cable is disconnected, sabertooth send all motors crashing into the limit switches. I've lost two limit switches so far, is there a way to ensure that amc1280 has power even when pc is restarting, or to send hold command to sabertooth controllers when powering off?
Thanks, Tino

Hi Thanos, can you reply back here, or shall we move the conversation on to www.xsimulator.net?You seem to be much more active on that site than here ( and I've given up on emailing you long time ago) Thanks, Tino.

So far it's been 10 weeks since my amc1280 card started malfunctioning. Still no news on the new card. I'm a bit disappointed, to say the least.

Hi Thanos, Unfortunately I haven't received the board yet Hope it arrives soon. Do you know if this solution from vgracingse (grounding potentiometer cable to motor housing) might help with my issues with motor 2? motionsim.freeforums.net/post/4483Or could it be some other issue? Thanks, Tino

Thanks, Tino Its not grounding the sensor, the wire you see there is the shield of the cable. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shielded_cableIt certainly helps blocking the noise from the motor coils into the analog sensor signal. But you have to make sure that the motor body is ground, and does not leak any current or voltage ( some DC wiper motors for example are not isolated ). Thanks Thanos

Thanks Thanos Yes, I thought maybe current from motor cables might be interfering with potentiometer 2. I've discovered something unusual, limit switches are set to 'kill signal', but when pressing any of the limit switches, the motor 2 starts spinning down, and then stopping. Other motors seem to be behaving correctly (motors stop moving, and not spinning down when pressing limit switches). I've made a short video about this, hopefully it might help with diagnosing the issue: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rtSNezKWacUnfortunately still no news on new amc1280. Thanks, Tino.

"I've discovered something unusual, limit switches are set to 'kill signal', but when pressing any of the limit switches, the motor 2 starts spinning down, and then stopping." Are you talking about the "function of KLM" (killswitch)? Since the beginning I've always had a bug on this feature and was forced to use "hold start" option. Our issue can be related. Change plz. and report what you see. That's another thing to correct in the firmware. cheers

I can't tell if it's the firmware or I got a faulty board, since I didn't design or built it. Have you ever experienced any strange "kicks" while playing a game? Can you try playing with 6dof.exe, just heave up and down for some time like in this video? www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAGwRHFh54AThe problem occurs on 0.37 and 1.05 Thanks, Tino.

Please let me know what firmware version you are using. I could not find these two bugs on the latest firmeare v2.4 rev3.

Please let me know what firmware version you are using. I could not find these two bugs on the latest firmeare v2.4 rev3. You cannot reproduce the 'kill signal' bug? That's strange. It is present on every firmware. Maybe is mod dependent PWM / Analog, or you have to have 6 sensors or motors atached to the board .... No idea. Please dig into it a bit more. cheers
