The pololu micro serial servo controller ( www.pololu.com/product/207 ) connects on the amc1280usb... It does not connect to the computer itself as it has no USB... So essentially the mini servos are controlled by the amc1280usb and the pololu micro serial servo controller is just like a small DC power driver for the mini servos.

Hi, I used the micro maestro 6 channel www.pololu.com/product/1350 as a stand alone (without the AMC1280), with Ian's software and USB. It's slow and lacks features found on the AMC1280, but it worked great for testing with the RC servo sim. I should note that the micro maestro was not compatible with the AMC1280 at that time, for that I had to purchase a 207 that Thanos is mentioning above. -Mitch
